Course Description

In this course, students will work with numerical representations and relationships, computations and algebraic relationships, geometry and measurement, and data analysis and financial literacy as prescribed by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Students will be able to use the TI-Nspire graphing calculator throughout the year and for their STAAR Math test.

Student Supplies Students are required to have the following supplies each day throughout the school year:

  • TI-nspire Calculator
  • (1) Composition Notebook
  • (1) folder with prongs
  • 1 pack of pencils, highlighter
  • Backpack
  • (1) Pack of 10 Clear protector sheets

Follow all rules and procedures. Use appropriate language. Attendance is very important. Consequences are still taking place online or in-class (write up, call home, detention, parent teacher conference, referral).

 

Please consider the following:   You have 10 days to drop the class!

      

  • Cheating will not be accepted! if this incident occurs, parents will be notified and an automatic zero will be given. 

 

  • Late Work/Makeup Work/Absent. Student is responsible to ask for their work whether it is an unexcused/excused absence. Parents will be notified for any late/missing assignments.  Corrections/make-up work is allowed for any low assignment or test. If you are having trouble submitting online assignments, take a screenshot and email it to the teacher.

 

  • Help Outside of Class If you are struggling with any of the concepts covered in class, ask for extra help after school or email the teacher!

 

  • Virtual/Online: Continue to follow PBIS. Expectations, Rules, and Procedures on Google Slides.

 

  • Restroom: Not during the first or last 15 minutes of class.
