About Me

Educational History:

Graduated from the J.B. Alexander High School Magnet Program in 2005.

Graduated from Texas A&M @ College Station with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science in 2009.

Degrees and Certifications:

I am currently certified to teach all core areas (Math, ELAR, Science, and Social Studies) from grades 4-8.

I have my Bilingual certification as well.

Current Position:

I started teaching at Clark in 2017, this will be my fifth year teaching, and I teach 6th grade mathematics and advanced mathematics.  I have been at this school district since I began my teaching tenure at Clark Middle in 2017.

Previous Position:

I started teaching in college as a paid and unpaid student-teacher volunteer.  I enjoyed being able to help my classmates understand some of the more complex curriculum that we were covering in class whenever they were unable to understand the concept from my professor or the TA.

I believe my journey through life has made me evolve in a way that makes me well suited for the teaching profession. My teaching philosophy is to be able to remain fluid and adapt to whatever my student’s learning needs may be.  I believe in building and maintaining a strong connection with my students in order to not just help them understand math, but to also better understand life.

Family Information:

I am engaged and thrilled about it!  We’ve got four kids between us and our favorite girl in the world is Lucy, our pitbull mix.

Personal Information:

I enjoy playing fantasy basketball and football.

I enjoy occasionally playing video games, board games, and watching shows with my family, and spending time with my fiance.
